U all know who i mean and Rodgers is still useless. What has he done compared to LVG. What is he likely to do?.He has spent millions and where has it got him? Come on all you Liverpool fans where's your answers.? What a dimwit for signing Balotelli when every other manager in the Prem said NO NO NO. All Rodgers does is talk but never produces. Its all gone quiet over there   :)   :)   :)

I've said several times (including on here) that I don't rate Rodgers one bit. Suarez saved his skin single handedly and now he can't. However, I did think at the time that the Ballotelli signing was a good one. :D

Highlander. YES.  Suarez was Liverpool last season. Ballotell was a desperation buy to try to replace him.It was a huge error on Rodgers part and showed his lack of coaching skill for him to sign him against everyones advice. All he has done is disrupt the club but still Rodgers plays him. What a plonker.

It seems Gardner you have joined this forum to show your expertise on Football and in particular Liverpool.
As you are a M.U. Supporter from the usual place, the South of England.  I refer you to Di Maria 59 million and mostly warming the bench of M.U...was he a mistake??  Then we have David Moyes "The chosen one"   So please do not try to point out mistakes from other clubs or Managers until you get to grips with your own.  Just in case you forgot your teams Manager is Van Gaal.    ;)

Sorry I did not know the rules of the forum  regarding commenting on Liverpool's manager. How silly of me to not have known that.
But as you are obviously an expert yourself Miss Harvey where would you say your beloved Brendan Rodgers skill level is in comparison to
LVG.
And no i do not support MU or Liverpool or any premier league team. But I do like to follow football as I do other sports. Over to you Miss Harvey.

Be careful what you say on that point, cos there are plenty of Scouse supporters in the South of England too, the overwhelming majority of whom don't speak with a scouse accent, just like the Man U counterparts who do not sound like a Mank.

As a Liverpool supporter i would say Rogers is doing very well as a young manager, who llost his best player last year, he seems to be learning on the job not afraid to make changes. I hope we keep with him

I was born and bred in Liverpool and was standing in the Kop when I was 16 years old.  So because I now live in Scotland does not make me any less a Liverpudlian. I came to Scotland because it was where my husband found work.
It is a well know fact that many, many M.U. supporters do not live in Manchester, where not born there and have no connection with Manchester.
Gardner, we all like Football, but we also like to speak about Calis and Fethiye on this Forum... We are not all obsessed with Liverpool or Brendan Rodgers.  I also agree with Scott and Lisa that Brendan is doing a good job.
Incidentally, I am Mrs Harvey, but you can call me Jacqui.      ;) ;D

Manc - not Mank

Manc or MANC may refer to:

A derogatory term used in football to refer to either Manchester United or Manchester City, normally by opposition fans.
Something pertaining to the city of Manchester, in North West England

Well according to google Man. Utd. have between 300 and 659 million supporters worldwide, so chances are a few would not live in Manchester

I personally, would never used a derogatory term to describe Football Clubs, their players or fans.
I can say that Liverpool did not play well on Sunday and M.U. deserved to win as they were the better team on the day.  That is a fact.  However, the one player from Liverpool Wayne Rooney, was a big disappointment to M.U. for missing the penalty, but I know a lot of Liverpool supporters enjoyed that.

Are you a politician because you have avoided answering the question I asked. Another one is do u think if Liverpool finish out of the top four that can be regarded as a good season for Brendon Rodgers?
Title: Re: Liverpool 1 Man U 2
Post by: Jacqui Harvey on March 23, 2015, 18:33:22 PM
If you mean Brendan Rodgers.  I think he has done well with Liverpool and he will still be with Liverpool whether we finish in the top four or not. The fans will be behind him all the way as they always have been.  I think he has had a good season, he got the team together after a difficult start and has had 11 games without loosing. He has worked hard and is still a young man unlike Van Gaal who was brought in to replace the chosen one and is an elderly man who will not stay long.  So, I would say Brendan will be there long after Van Gaal has departed.

Now, how to you like Calis, do you come regularly, have you any recommendations for us all???

I would aver that Wayne Rooney didn't miss the penalty, he hit the ball very well, the ball was on target, the Liverpool goalkeeper saved it , a good save, and not a miss by Wayne Rooney, there is a difference !! ;-)

I am not anti Liverpool or a fan of Man u. But what has annoyed me this season is how much LVG, even before taking  ove rat Man U  we were  hearing from the media he was not the one to take them back into  Europe. Game after game even though Man U got a point or 3 we were still being told they just played long balls and were just a lucky side. On the other hand we have heard how Liverpool have got over the departure of LS their goal machine. And how they now have Sturridge and this 20yr old wonder kid worth 50million as there strike  force so nothing can stop them from clinching that 4th spot.Where were they against Man U ? Brendan Rodgers has been built up into something he is not. A manager that will take Liverpool back into Europe. It should have been last season. It should have been this season but once again it wont be. Another season gone by. He has spent over £100 million. We now hear he is after a Man U player who cannot get into there own team. He has made all the Liverpool fans dream the dream but sadly cannot deliver. As Roy Evans said "Why wait until you are down to 10 men before throwing everythng at them".

Bit boring contributor to be honest - a one trick pony. Here's a previous topic he started way back in November!

Last season Liverpool finished 2nd in the premier purely because of one man. Now he has gone. Sold for meaga millions. The money has been spent by the manager on several players to keep Liverpool in contention for the premier league title. A manager highly rated so it seems. So why is this highly rated manager losing nearly every game in the premier league this season. Over to you Liverpool fans?

Is there anything else you want to discuss on this forum about Calis Beach?

Ridiculous?
Try googling Brendan Rodgers Signings.   I think you will find ist over £200m  in fact.  And LVG is above Liverpool. Stick to Scottish football its more simple to understand.

Oh I found another topic he posted in. About Steven Gerrard.

Liverpool have been terrible this season without Suarez. They will be in bigger trouble when Gerro goes.
Can't blame him as they have treated him badly by stalling on a new contract. Good luck to him.

Anything to discuss about Calis or Turkey - or do you think this is a forum all about Liverpool FC :D

Well, using reply with quote went well!!

I know exactly how much both have spent thank you. The bits you are incapable of grasping are not about who is higher in the league - they are (i) Over what timescale the quoted amounts were spent and (ii) what the nett figure is (which includes money recouped from transfer sales for your info) and you will find that Rodgers comes out way more favourably than Van Gaal who has spent at a ridiculous rate compared with Rodgers, and recouped bugger all in comparison to Rodgers.

If Scottish football is really easier to understand I suggest you try your luck with that!!!

I know more about every subject than every single one of the 11,000 members and it's my forum so I am right.

Especially when it comes to answering you. Dealing with percentages a lot in your job? I haven't quoted or mentioned a single percentage so your "experience" isn't going to help you in this topic, 50% wit.

Unlike you I can think rationally, hence while I don't think much of Rodgers as a manager, I can quote facts that prove he has wasted less money (or let's say a lower percentage so you can follow it) than Van Gaal - this is mainly down to Rodgers spending "over £200 million" as you claim in his three years at Liverpool, compared withe Van Gaal spending £150 million in TEN MONTHS at United.

Who is spending most? I'll give you a clue in round figures for you - 200/36, 150/10.

And you claim I'm the one talking rubbish!!!

gardner4 - specifically for you I will explain a couple of things.

1. We are a forum about Calis with a football section. We are not a football forum

2. Our experiences with members who post almost exclusively in the football section and next to no other are generally not good.

3. Football only posters do tend to be significantly more aggressive and confrontational than other members.

4. And they usually don't last long due to that fact.

Please use the forum to discuss Calis, Fethiye and Turkey. If you insist on using CBF as a football forum and show no interest in any other sections then it is not for you. You should find a football discussion forum and be rude and aggressive over there instead.
