Title: Wood anyone know ?

Does anyone know the name of the wood that's used to make the large spoons that are available to buy in the markets ? Not the pine ones, but the ones made of a darker, harder wood. Either the Turkish name for the tree or the Latin name would be good.

Apparently cedar, boxwood and olive wood are all used...

Thank you. That's solved it. I was pretty certain that some of the spoons I'd bought in the past were made from olive wood.
