Title: Good Pide
Post by: Ally B on April 22, 2019, 10:48:01 AM
Just had a bite to eat at the Pide/Piza place next to the patisserie on the Kamakazi roundabout. We had a mince pide a small meat pide two cokes and free meze 48 lira. The place was spotless and staff very welcoming. The drivers provided free entertainment. The pide's were as good as I have tasted.

Guys, I'm still not sure where this pide place is.
And it's important.
I have 2 more kgs to lose to reach my 'TREAT MYSELF TO A PIDE' target.
I have not had a pide in MONTHS.
I LOVE pide.

I NEED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHERE THIS PIDE PLACE IS

Thank you.

Apologies for the shouting but you know, getting desperate and all that ...

At the Dolphin roundabout facing away from the beach there is a coffee/cake shop on the corner, on the right of it is the DUNYA pide place then there is I think ALO 24 burger.

It's next door to where we had that lovely coffee and cake  with your Mum and Bernie (after the village breakfast debacle  ;D all those years ago!)
Enjoy your treat - you have done fantastically well!!

It’s in the Old Meri bar building. We had Pide there at the start of the month and it was delicious and very reasonably priced. My 12 son who is Pide expert said it was the best Pide ever 🤣🤣

Thank you, everyone - the venue has now been chosen for my personal momentous occasion.

I'll take a photo when I get there.

Went for the fourth time before we came away. They had just printed new menus and we saw something I dont think was on the old menu. Kavurmah Pide  ( Turkish Braised Meat) it is like slowly cooked slivers of brisket, juicy and superb flavor.  Wish I had discovered it earlier. Going back the years first visit was normally Frank Cannons for a kebab but this will be first choice next time.

Into our fourth year living here. Sampled many pides. The best ever and ever was in Kayakoy. The small cafe on the right as you enter the village. It was the bestest ever
