Thought I would forewarn everyone of an issue we have had with Aegean today.
Bought a flight for my dad for 1 Aug - 15 Aug 08. Now he has changed jobs he cannot make it. 2 weeks ago we called Aegean to book a flight for whitsun.
We were told they could transfer £98 of the unwanted flight's original price towards a May 08 flight but that would still leave us £256 to pay. The Aegean staff member agreed it was too much for just 4 days away and agreed I would be better using this £98 towards next summers flights.
I have called Aegean tonight to book for next year and now been told that the other woman was wrong, flights are not transferrable between different seasons.
Will have to email the manager.
Would suggest everyone is 100% confident of their plans before they book. Very poor service.
Now taking offers on the unwanted flight if anyone is interested, £20 name change providing the address does not change.
