Just got back on due to my computer having a little problem (this is a spare one).
I was working on it yesterday when the screen suddenly went blank and I could not switch off. I managed to power down but every time I power up the red hard drive light is on and nothing happens - no boot up - nothing:(If I turn off at the mains and then back on the computer fires up without switching on but the same problem is there.
My mate thinks it might be the mother board (it's an AMD ASUS K8V deluxe). Also there is an Eastern sounding lady saying "System Failed Computer"
Any ideas other than a new mother board?
