Thanks for that Lewis, that would appear to be the reason that they have not replied earlier to my e-mails.

What is the problem with providing ADI when you book?  Have had to provide this with different airlines for quite some time!!
It is only a form which states where you live and where you are going to stay!  Even if you don't put the correct info down - which we have done on a number of occasions as we had only booked a flight and had to find accommodation when we got to our destination!!
Can't see the big deal!!

The API is not about where you live or where you are staying Cheers,it is name, dob, passport number, nationality and where passport issued, expiry date etc.

If it helps, anyone flying with Thomas Cook will need to enter the following information:

Last Name
Booking Reference
Departure Date

First Name
Middle Name
Date of Birth
Gender

Passport Number
Passport Expiry Date
Country of Issue
Country of Citizenship

your welcome daveG..
cheers, i dont think people have a problem of having to provide the information, its about people knowing if they need to or dont need to that is the issue!!!
i think the best way is always to phone your airline and get an answer there and then... it makes life so much easier!! :-)
happy flying!!!!

I think I'm onto this now ........... is it FRAUD??
Everyone who goes into my profile can get my name, where I live, go on Ancestry.com or some other similar website find I was born in Liverpool, apply for a copy of my birth, wedding certificate etc. etc. apply to the Passport office saying I have lost my passport and get a new one in my name!
Could it just be that the airlines are checking for hijackers or such??
As I have already posted I don't have a problem providing this information!
What would you do if the airline said 'NO INFORMATION - NO FLY'???

They don't need to say that as they already process this at check in when you produce your passport. Some airlines are now introducing the opportunity for passengers to enter it online at a time before your flight. If you are unable to do this online there is no need to worry as it will still be processed at the check in desk.

Some airlines will not let you book unless you provide this information at time of booking.

I have just flown with KTHY they didn't ask for any info but at the same time I booked with Easy jet and they asked for it, but as I was renewing my passport I never filled it in but went back later and completed the online form
