it defragments your files on the hard drive & ensures that all parts of a file are together & therefore easier for your system to find. To run it, just go to your start menu / all programmes / accessories / system tool / disk defragmenter & follow the instructions

Liz101 - I didn't mean that because Eset is lightweight it's not effective. If you're happy with Norton then that's fine, but I find Eset provides a similar/better level of protection and runs faster (check out benchmark tests at cnet).
