UPS Undeliverable item VIRUS
« on: March 16, 2010, 20:14:13 PM »
There is an email doing the rounds which appears to have been sent by UPS (obviously it isn't)
I should have pasted the contents here but i just deleted it (force of habit)
Basically it says you have a parcel which they were unable to deliver and you need to pick it up from their local office.
It tells you to print-out the accompanying invoice and bring it with you for id purposes - DO NOT DO THIS! - The invoice contains a virus.

Indeed Chewy and not just 'from' UPS - I've seen the same claiming to be from FEDEX, DHL and others. If you are unsure, contact the courier via their website or by phone. Don't open the attachment. I can see how people get caught out, I received one the very day I was expecting a UPS delivery.

I have had loads of these from UPS in my spam folder. Thank goodness I just deleted them.
