Where to find real Chedder Cheese

Extra strong Chedder cheese available at the Patlangiç (Saturday) and Gunlikbasa (Sunday) markets. Right taste right texture.

You can taste test as some are strong and some milder.

These are the people that sell it.

Well its not actually cheddar cheese,its called Tulum,but it is a very good substitute.Some people find it very salty,we like it as at least it is tasty and also does not take a kilo to make a tasty cheese sauce,unlike kasar.These people are very good with their cheese stall,have been buying from them for years,very helpful and polite.

yes I tasted some of their cheese and thought thats good, but sadly the piece they sent me away with tasted very much more salty.

my favorite is called izmir tulum/ getting a bit pricey now though!

I found some in Carrefore recently (by the Otogar)- they often have samples of cheese on offer. I'm sure it was the same one - definately Izmir and it wasnt too salty. Certainly the best cheese I've had out here. Unfortuntaely I've not geen able to get any since - not by lack of trying lol I will have to check out the stall on the Sat mkt - I've bought yogart, cheese and olives off these people many times before.

You are so right Nicola I have been buying my cheese from these people,now I never bring any cheese back with me,and the yogurt is some of the best I have tasted

Izmir Tulum.

I bought some from the daily/fish market yesterday after having some at my friends house the previous evening, it was the best I have tasted here yet, from the sea side of the fish market, in the entrance on right, his chicken cuts are cheaper too.
