What make of A/C do you have, as you can contact the service of that make to come out to you, especially if you are still under guarantee.

It probably needs to be regassed, this is commom here and is caused by the pipework leaking, so if they do need to gas it back up make them check for leaks too.
It may however just need the air filters cleaning in the internal unit.

it could be many things.. I have kept the A/C servicers very busy this year.. broken motors, leaks, gas refills etc. Let me know the make of your units and I can probably give you the contact number needed.

Depends if you have a guarantee. The guarantee will be null and void if that company do not make the repairs to the unit.... that's why I asked what make.

Have you tried taking all the filters out and giving them a good clean? Worth a try before you go to the expense of a re-gas and the cost of finding and mending any leak.

Usually the front clips off and you can remove the filter. Give it a good clean and replace it.

We have been told by the Air-Conditioning Engineers that the problem with holiday homes is the Air conditioning is not run regularly, only when the visitors are over, air con needs to be run regularly as it can get bunged up, and also develop other problems.   The one we have in the living room when turned on had water running down the wall, so a wire was run through and it cleaned it out, turned out there were insects inside it.  We now get our Maintenance people to run the Air Conditioning for us every two weeks when they come over to check the place.
