FTC website....a scam???
« on: January 16, 2011, 14:25:26 PM »
Not sure where to put this! I went on the FTC website and after going through to book came across a warning that after paying for the ticket it was essential to register details (including passport details) with a further website (Foreign Office??). There was a link to this function, My computer then threw up a warning and I went through again but this time on my laptop. No problem and flight booked. No mention of the above either. Not sure if this would be picked up in an internet cafe (assuming its a scam) so just posting as a warning. Looked very genuine!

Think you find you are directed to the Thomas Cook web site. Its been a government requirement for some time to provide Advanced Passenger Information when booking with UK airlines.

We didn't do it or were not asked to do it when we went with TC in April. No one questioned it.

Don't know about the booking seats laffa, but I'm not bothered about sitting next to herself, if not I'd get peace form 4 hours + - bliss ;)
