H.M.Customs & Revenue Rebate.
« on: April 15, 2011, 07:48:26 AM »
As someone previously mentioned on the Forum they got an email from the Revenue saying they had a rebate due.  I am now getting these emails almost every week.  They tell me I have anything from £178.24 to £2,000 rebate due and I must download the enclosed file.
If anyone gets one of these emails don't open the file.  This is the address to forward the email to phishing@hmrc.gsi.gov.uk.
The Revenue never send emails telling people about rebates, they will always write..however, a rebate is probably rarer than a hen's tooth. ;)

Thanks Jaqui, I will forward mine to that address.

I had one yesterday claiming to be from Finansbank, for security purposes they wanted my name, card number, 3 digit security number, expiry date and my PIN number !
I'm going to show Emineor Gulsah and find out where to forward it to.
