Does anyone know the cost of wood in turkey compared to brick? we were told wood is exspensive , but I find this hard to belive.

Depends on what you are wanting to use it for, the type of wood, size and how green you want it.

If you're thinking of having a house built of wood, there's a company advertising in Land of Lights called Selit Wooden House concepts. They don't have a website listed, I think they have a showhouse on the right hand side of Adnan Menderes Boulevard (Dalaman Road) going out of Fethiye.

Hi, the wooden house is near opposite our road, it is complete but I beleive that it is shown as a show house at the moment.  it would look lovely in the right setting.

Hi ,I remember seeing wooden type "chalet" house being advertised on the main road between Ovacik and Hisaronu last year

There's also a real little beauty that's just been built in Kaya. Apparently it cost about £10,000. Also, it's legal, because it's constructed of wood.

It was more the price of wood/timber for odd jobs or building a shed (you know every man has to have his shed!!) is it cheaper than bricks and mortar?
