Electric cut off
« on: December 15, 2011, 11:21:47 AM »
We have been paying our electric bills by standing order now for Approx 18 months with no problems until  today that is when i have been informed that our electric has been cut off, its not a money issue, as there is more than enough to coverour bills over the winter period.

Has this happened to any of you ?

just hoping that it a mistake and its the Wrong villa that they have cut off

 Danky ....:(

have you had the electric changed to your name.If not the person who owned it has run up a bill and aydem has cut off the electric.
we know of it happening before.

The bill has been in our name for over two years now, it was in the name of the  builder before that,

i made sure that when we signed it over that there  was no outstanding bills to be paid

so as far as i am aware there should not be a problem

This happened to my brother last year.  It appeared that the electricity company had not presented the bill to the bank and therefore it did not get paid - resulted in him being cut off.  When he checked with the bank they said that they had not had the bill.  Hope his helps.

Not sure which bank you are with, but Alper at ING was able to scroll through Aydem accounts using my Aydem ref no, after the due date, told me how much it was & paid it same day. I would expect any of the banks would have this facility

This is similar to something that happened to us. Aydem came to cut off our electricity about 18 months after we had changed to payment by direct debit. Luckily our maintenance guy stopped them and I was on site. It turned out that the very first direct debit (35ytl) had not been paid. Garanti assumed that we had paid it and vice versa. A 2 hour queue at the Aydem office on the Antalya road and a cash payment sorted it out. Absolutely no bother since then  8)

We are with Yapi Kredi and have not had any problems. Have you looked at the website www.aydem.com there is a facilty to view your outstanding debts - all you need is your electric number.

Thanks for the link, i have asked a friend to look on a bill placed in the Electric box to see oif the electric number is onit

When you pay by standing order do you normally still get a bill placed in the electric box reason i ask is  i dont recall ever seeing one before but have seen payments taken from the bank statement
