Has anyone renewed a passport from here, was there any problems,  and how long did it  take. I have been told the paper work has to be sent to Germay, is this correct .

Did it last April. Download all the forms from the FCO website then DHL it all to Dusseldorf.
Mine took around 10 days to be processed.
You will still need an outstanding and responsible person from the British community to countersign to say you are a person of good character so maybe you should see Scunner for this?

Did it October 2010 and also downloaded all forms. We sent ours by ARAS to Dussledorf and had the new passports back in a week. We got a friend (british) who is a nurse to countersign our forms.

Bit of a trek to get your signature though.

I asked Alpa (ING Bank) to sign mine and put a bank stamp on it.

Did not have to have a photo signed as this one was similar to the last.

Yakob at Linda Chicks by the Mulberry also dose it for you.
