Sorry tonysue I misread your post (at work so dipping im and out). I thought you had done them yourself!

So - you paid 35ytl for each one servicing and the muck that they should have taken out casued them to leak. I can see that.

As I said - doing your own is not hard and looks like it might be the safest bet until you think it's time for a full service.

Sorry for the misunderstanding  :)

One of ours leaked last week. The pipe was blocked from the water catchment tray that runs to the outside. I  just poked a piece of wire down it and it unblocked a pea sized piece of crap. The pipe can get blocked with spiders webs from the outside or just from dust collecting in the pipe. Once cleaned it drained properly and worked fine. I vacuum the filters a couple of times a year (depending on how blocked they look). If it still blows cold then your refrigerant is usually ok.

I may be wrong but thought legionnaires was connected with water storage, as in hot/cold water storage tanks and the like.

Air con units that are not regularly cleaned can produce legionaries. Same with jacuzzi baths and even your taps in Turkey - which you should run for a while when they have been left a few months due to no one beng there.

Be careful out there  ;)

We ha a jacuzzi in our last house. What a pain having to put Milton in it after every use to stop the water left in the pipes from producing nasty bugs!
