.. and to add to that - any West Brom player would have done the same in that situation as well I think.

Yes Stoop, but if you actually run into the player and he has his arm by his side and you fall down ...Is this a penalty??

- they would have gone down in exactly the same way and 'played' for the spot kick.

It's wrong but it's life in football these days.
Then I take it you agree with me Stoop, hence video technology  and  then ban them for a good few games, I mean if you can get a ban for nibbling someones ear, arm, etc, lets apply it to all.  ;)  ;)

I've seen worse penalty decisions to be honest. Unless we replace the refs with robots there will always be errors. Not sure I want to go down the Rugby League route.

Swings and roundabouts most managers would say.

This debate will rage on and on. Lets accept that the current situation remains and that the so called injustices continue, which they have been for donkeys years now.

For decisions that are wrong and go against a team the opposite also happens. What I always find amusing is that generally the team who get the "wrong" decision's supports never have an issue with the said decision.

In the instance that is being discussed being a Chelsea supported do I have a problem with it no, when it is the other way around do I have a problem yes of course which I think is call bias  ;)  ;)

I remember the linesman flagging for offside against West Brom and the ref allowing play to continue. Cost us the title in 1971.

I'm not bitter!

I suppose, unless you are a supporter of the offended team, it stops the game from becoming too 'robotic', 'clinical' or whatever else we could call it if decisions were always correct.

Just imagine - no mistakes from the officials - no need for the pundits after the match. Boring?

There certainly would be less aggrieved supports on CBF than currently   ;)
