Too Many Buttons
« on: April 11, 2014, 21:49:15 PM »
I love this site I really do. But why does it have to be bombarded with all these buttons. I know there are only 2. The "new" button and the even newer "like"button. But be honest am I the only one that feels they are to in your face? As soon as you go to the opening main page "bang " they just hit you in the face. They seem to take up the whole page. Ok I know you will all be saying Dave's off again but I just have to say it. Surely if they really do have to be on the forum for whatever reason can they not be made to look smaller and more pleasing to the eye.
I guess I will get the backlash now.

I'm not sure what you are seeing Dave but to me the Like button could hardly be described as huge. Is your view different?

This must be something unique to laptops or PC's as no buttons as described show up on an I pad or I phone.  Suspect it won't show on a Mac either. If this is the case, some tweaks in the coding will reduce the size of the buttons for machines running the Windows OS. Will be interesting to know if Android OS is also affected.

I love this site I really do.

My sympathies are with the people who run the sites you don't like

Nope....looked at IE and Firefox on a laptop, even changed the zoom settings. Still small buttons

So far I've viewed the forum on Windows, Linux and Android, all show the like button and it is sized appropriately.  Browsers IE, FF, Chrome, Midori and Safari all show the like button correctly.  iStuff users are more than welcome to post screenshots and we'll make the necessary code changes to allow them to view the button correctly also, if they dont already that is.

That's better customer service than phuking Amazon...
