Quiet on the red side of merseyside tonight
« on: May 06, 2014, 00:14:55 AM »
Is it me or has anyone else noticed how quiet it is tonight from the Liverpool fans and their fellow travellers?

I can tell you that Mrs Tickets, as a life long Palace supporter, is feeling pretty good about the Team under Pullis, and particularly with tonight's result.  This result over Liverpool and their recent win over Chelski has probably delivered up the PL title to Mercenary City.  Who can now say that they didn't buy this years title, like the last one, but that it was gifted to them by CPFC. Well done Palace, their never say die spirit could teach a number of teams a thing or two.

Finally, is there a better sight in football than a group of inconsolable Scousers? Yes there is actually a group of eternally disappointed and inconsolable Spud fans, mind you some of the manure fans have come close this season...... Oh Methinks I am enjoying myself too much this season.

Can't quite remember the terms of the bet, something about Liverpool finishing above the specialists in failure?

From a life long Fulham fan I take my hat off to palace for that result and as we are relegated I can assure you if we had needed to beat palace on Saturday to maybe of stayed up then we would not have beaten palace and that's a tribute to there manager. If only we had an English manager things might of been different its going to be hard to get back up.Well done palace.

Gillingham - and do you remember Spurs away in the cup - 0 - 3 at half time - then if I remember correctly - down to 10 men and won 4 - 3.

I have a view that Man City fans were cruel to children or animals in a previous life and this is now their penance :-)

Rogers or Maureen would appear to be the natural choice for replacement by Pulis, but as a replacement for Wenger?? It would be a good shout but the Arsenal board couldn't match Pulis's ambition for himself and the clubs he manages.  The Arsenal Board are too easily satisfied with fourth place and money in the bank instead of transfers.
