Not sure if this should be under "good news" Chris...  ;)

It strengthened against the pound and dollar first thing, but looks to be losing ground now.  It went from 4.67 to 4.52 (to the pound) but has now fallen back to 4.59 - curiously, there was trading activity yesterday evening (Turkish time) something you rarely see.  Similar pattern with the dollar.

Who knows what it'll be at the end of the week.  5? 3?  Anyone's guess.

On Friday the lira weakened nearly 2% against the $ in late trading. Today it has strengthened by about the same amount. The reason for this is ...................... ?

Debenhams Glasgow giving 4.30YTL to the £.  Lower than last week.

Why bother with Debenhams, the rates most UK exchange places offer are abysmal.  Finans were buying Sterling at 4.61tl to the pound this afternoon.

Does anyone know what the rate was here in Turkey today please? I took some money tochange but completely forgot to go to the change shop!( travel tiredness/ mentalpause brain) a lot of people say it tends to go lower at weekends so dont know whether to bother going tomorrow or wait until next week now   :)
