Title: Uzumlu food and craft fair 25th March
Post by: winehouse_uzumlu on February 20, 2011, 18:24:21 PM: Uzumlu food & crafts fairs will be taking place on the last Friday of every month organize by the Turkish ladies of the village and the Winehouse,

1st one is Starting this Friday the 25th February at 11am till 4 pm
You will be able to see lots of traditional Turkish cooking and craft made in the village by the Turkish ladies, come along and view the handmade crafts and the homemade food dishes,
on sale will be a variety of Turkish breads, desserts, cakes, pastry's, jars of local jams, marmalades, oils vinegars etc.., this local produce will be on sale,

Prices starting from 1lira, 2 lira for cakes pastry's etc :

Why not pop in after you done your market shopping :and enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee supplied by the Winehouse.

D x

Maybe you know that we will go on to our own Car Boot Fair on May again instead of Calis...they are getting the season break May-October so we will make it here at the same days (3rd Sundays of the months) in Belediye garden...

Hope everyone can have chance to display their lovely hand crafts and the charity supports...

Ladies Uzumlu Group were invited to join the Turkish ladies as stalls by invite only and all proceeds from this stall will go to charity.

Post by: TB752 on February 25, 2011, 15:05:03 PM: The fair today was a great success as far as the Uzumlu Ladies Group are concerned. Thank you to everyone who visited our table and bought our cakes, jams, etc. There was a steady stream of customers all day and I believe this event will get better as more people get to know about it. We raised the princely sum of 61 TL for charity, which is good for our first fund raising attempt.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday at the Cadianda at 2.00 p.m. so, ladies, come and join us.

Thank you lovely ladies of Uzumlu, another beautiful array of goodies.
So glad I went, lovely atmosphere, people and of course event was hosted so well by Ian, Sener and crew.
