New Musical Express' top 50 guitar solo's, you may agree or disagree with them as that's the "nature of the beast" that is music !, nevertheless some good stuff listed, enjoy :)

Far too much Radiohead!!! :-\
I like my guitar solos to be guitar solos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hEmVm21TQY (from around 3 minutes 20s) :)

Good choice Keith, you're quite right about the amount of Radiohead (although I like them ;)), I think my top 5 would be 'ish;
1) Since I've been Loving You - Led Zeppelin.
2) Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd.

3) Freebird - Lynard Skynard.
4) All Along the Watch Tower - Jimi Hendrix.
5) Like a Hurricane - Neil Young.

1,3 & 4 in NME Poll, could have picked 50 ! :)

I was coming on to this thread to add the greatest ever 'Flawed Masterpiece' Like a Hurricane by Neil Young and I see that Valleyboy has already beaten me to it. Good choice and excellent taste Tony :) :)

Been giving this some serious thinks over the last couple of days, and this is my list to add to many of those above:-
Jumpin Jack Flash (Live) Johnny Winter
Moonage Daydream from Bowies Ziggy Stardust - guitar work from the sadly missed Mick Ronson, an awesome musical talent.
I suppose you can't have guitar solos without Clapton so
Crossroads - Cream (hugely complimented by the bass work of jack Bruce)
And you can't mention the guitar without considering George Harrison and Pete Townshend. Now whilst not really known for spinning out an elongated guitar solo, their great guitar work can be heard in
While My guitar Gently Weeps - Beatles
Quadrophenia (track from the LP of the same Name) - The Who
