I'm having real problems trying to purchase my inhaler ( the brown one for fellow asthma sufferers) until recently it's been readily available, tried two chemists in Fethiye, the one in Calis and both up in Gunlukbasi without any luck. I'm really starting to suffer now with all of the dust and could really do with this medication.

George, I would have a scout round near the Devlet hospital. There are loads of chemists in a very small area.

I hope you manage to get some George :) I wonder whether something has occured in Turkey re some medications, just that we went into so many chemists (at least six)last month to get statins that in October 12 were readily avaiable could not get them at all (only in 10 mg no longer 40) we finally got told that the drug was no longer being sold in Turkey in any higher dosage as it was not making any profit...

Thank you very much for your kind offer, I went to the chemists near to the Devlet this afternoon only to find everyone of them closed! I will have another go on Monday but if no luck your offer will be greatly accepted. Many thanks, a wheezy Rimms !

As a fellow asthma sufferer Rimms I hope you manage to get one. Is it dust from the roadworks that's affecting you? If it is then I shall definitely be avoiding the area if I can.

George, are they available without a prescription in UK? If they are I can get you some as I'm flying over on Tuesday. If they are available let me have precise details and quantity. Ken

Once again, many thanks Ken, unfortunately you need a prescription for this type of inhaler. Marina, I think it probably is the dust, it is really bad at the moment, if you suffer from Asthma, don't under any circumstances venture out without your ventolin, if you find yourself short of ventolin, all of the chemists I have visited this week sell it and I have a good supply if anyone needs some in an emergency.

Thank you Rimms. We are due out on Thursday night and I usually bring a good supply with me so that I don't run out, but will probably bring extra with me now. I'd happily bring you a becotide too but unfortunately I don't use that one. Hope you manage to find one soon.

I went to the big chemist opposite the Devlet this morning, after much head scratching and consulting the computer, they produced an inhaler which they assured me is the medicine I need but only in 100mg actuations so I need to double the dose.
The big shock came with the price, 89 lira ! I told him that couldn't be correct but he insisted it was, he then produced a frozen cool bag block and said " you must take with ice " which is a load of rubbish as far as I'm concerned, I again asked that he checked the price and by way of a 'discount' he relented to 85 lira ( £31.50 )
I bought it under duress but think I need to look elsewhere

Just going out now but I will log back in tonight to see if you want them. I will have them with me at the Surf Cafe probably there until 430 ish, bright red swim shorts probably in the shade!

Yeah he did get sorted but not before I made an asthmatic man cycle up a really steep hill first! No gain without pain.

I wouldn't mind but I had just completed a 20 mile ride yesterday morning with the Tuesday cycling group. My heart sank when I returned home to find the pick up point for my inhalers were over the other side of Fethiye and half way up a mountain.
The ride back down was brilliant though!
