Title: Onurair
Post by: stuart1955 on February 19, 2014, 19:42:46 PM
Bit of a mixed bag of reviews but have taken a chance and booked for September from gatwick, good price so fingers crossed, hopefully can't be worse than thomas cook last year with a 9 delay

Personally I would always opt for Onur air over Thomas Cook. Much better legroom...

Where do you book, never seen anywhere to book with them. Had a good flight with them years ago.

I would opt for any other airline over T.C. even those with outside toilets. :o
On a serious note, we have flown with Onur, no problem and as said much more leg room and no hard sell like T.C.  At least you can get up and go to the loo without having to wait behind a trolley.
Warning keep away from the beige sausages.  ;D

Been doing a bit of a search for flights for some friends who will be going to Fethiye in May.  An option that came up was Manchester to Dalaman with Thomas Cook in February 2015.  Looks like they will be doing direct flights to Dalaman next year.

I know many of you hate TC but to be able to fly direct from Dalaman to Manchester would for us be a huge bonus.  We can put up with the trolley sales if it means no long journey to Antalya or an extremely long wait or even an overnight in Istanbul.

You can only book domestic scheduled flights with Onur Air themselves. All of their charter flights can be booked through sales agents such as the already mentioned Jewel in the Crown Holidays.

no but I believe you can ring there call centre to book flights, but I used jewel in the crown and with them you have the option to pay a deposit and the balance later  which suited me

I really am no fan of T Cook at all but having winter flights at least once a week means I can just about put up with them  :-\

Sounds familiar - squeezing just one more quick fag in  ;D !
On the subject of Onur - they don't get such good write-ups on seating/legroom on skytrax reviews.

I agree slikmrs but the company do little to enamour themselves to me. The flight back to Manchester was awful. The crew were downright rude and clearly wanted to be elsewhere.

I have to admit, being a member of flight crew would rate as one of my least favourite jobs to do, ever. But still, if it IS your job, try smiling once in a while and actually remember we are customers not prisoners.

Hi slickmrs..........I'm travelling out to Dalaman in June and I booked a package to Calis staying at Tugay hotel with Sunshine Holidays who are agents for Jewel in the Crown.  The carrier is Onur.  Sunshine/Jewel also book flights only.  Worth an enquiry.
