It looks like my love affair with Turkey may be coming to an end and we have just accepted an offer.
Had a quick look on here but Can anyone she'd any light on what to expect?
How long does the process take?
Solicitors needed I assume but surveys???
Feel free to be humorous as I need the pick me up.

if you are selling privately, you need a solicitor, if it's through an agent they should be able to do everything,
Why would you want surveys if you are selling?
The length of time for the sale to complete can depend on many things

If its a Turk you're selling to then its over in 5mins - you get the dosh, they get the deeds. Can work same way for a non Turk if there is a MP in place.
No surveys or solicitors needed, even if selling privately. An emlak will do - speak to Cenk, Ronnie Higgins or European Estates who seem to be the three most recommended on here.

Thanks for replying. I assumed they would survey like in the UK. We didn't as it wasn't built when we bought.
Just haggling over contents now

The last guy who tried to offer folks surveys, UK style, in Fethiye had to leave town fairly sharpish. Read into that what you will...

I was holding keys for one of my neighbours, who had a Turkish buyer that needed a motgage. There was a visit from the bank mainly to ensure that the apartment was as described on the mortgage application - done & dusted in 10 minutes inc unlocking & locking the front door
