Title: Laws for emptying pool?
Post by: chris35 on April 05, 2016, 11:54:07 AM
Are there any laws that prohibit you emptying your pool in daytime hours. If so can the council fine you? If so what is the fine?

I empty mine on waste land,i think as long as you dont  interfere with other peoples property,
its ok,but saying that, the last place we lived there was complaints about it empyting it down the main road.

Our pool man has done just that, so we could be hit with a fine apparently.

We installed soak aways in a part of the garden near the pool, partly for pool emptying & partly 'cos that area flooded. These go to the main drain just off site, so no problem here with emptying the pool whatever time of day

Our pool man emptied our on the farmers field opposite. He was very happy for us to water his crops.. Other than that we did it at night as the neighbours used to play hell and threaten to report us...
