Hello from Alan Rex Barrett
« on: July 18, 2008, 20:45:20 PM »
Kind regards to everyone, from a Calis lover.I and my wife,Elaine have just returned from our second holiday to the wonderful area of Calis. How we both wish we were back there, with the most friendly people we have ever had the pleasure to meet in a holiday resort.I am 55 years old,and have got my first working week over with, driving buses in East Lancashire,in the never ending rain! I have read the CBF for the last 12 months,i find it a gold mine of information and have had many a laugh out loud with the less serious subjects.Roll on next July,or before? for our next visit. :) :) 8)

Hi Alan and a very warm welcome to the CBF. Glad you have found it to be so useful. From your post I am sure you will be back to Calis 8). I worked out of the Whitebirk Industrial Estate in Blackburn for the last umpteen years of my working life.
Welcome once again and best regards.

Alan,

A gold mine of information it may be, but personally I prefer those who laugh out loud here a little warmer  ;) I reckon you might just fit right in here - especially as a posh man with 3 names [:o]

See you on your next visit.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.Ken, you have pinpointed me within a mile!,i know Whitebirk Estate like the back of my hand.I worked out of Intack Bus Depot for 12 years, until 2005.            Dear Keith Bruce Campbell,it is a pleasure to talk to you.I wish i had had the bottle to say hello to you and your family at Bambu, two weeks last Wednesday?,but i did not think it fair to disturb you.We did have a meal there,a few nights later, but the chef had had an accident and it resulted in a hospital visit for him.We had an excellent meal, even though it took a lot longer than normal. The price of a round of drinks was deducted off our bill, that was enough for me,after all time is of little importance when there is no enforced closing time.:D:D:D

From one Alan to another Alan, welcome to the forum, i'm sorry Keith Bruce Campbell,i only have 2 names, but in the posh part of West Gorton where i was dragged up, if you had more than one Christian name you were a snob. Alan(ABBO)Davies PS,
