I have mine shared in different banks Andy because if Finnans goes under you are only covered for 50,000tl per peron as you know. ( not that I think they will)

As Mark is claiming to have the Maximum amount in his account that is guaranteed by the bank for a joint account and you are claiming to have "much more" in yours I hope for your sake they never go down. If you do, take your head out of the sand ....it can happen.

Ye I knew that Mark from previous posts, it just has a bearing on your interest rate all be it a small one.

i am in the Ziraat and ALL my money is safe, no need to worry about the 50,000 ceiling. You will however find that the private banks give 1 percent more intrest but not the guarantee of all your money back.
