Well, we had to pay in Oct but we wondered if we were legally charged as there was no-one charging when we exited at the other end. If we had started at that end, we would not have had to pay. If I remember it was 8TL entry each

Bewva, you were lucky.  ;)

It's 8 TL per person and was that price throughout 2009 after going up from 2 TL per person.

However, if you want to get in for free, use the entrance near Muzzy's, which isn't manned during the winter. Walk around the back of the Poseidon and Antik Restaurants and enter by the Old Church.

OR

You can also get in for free if you go up the track beside the well on the mainstreet, and past the Sarnic Restaurant.

Hi just to add that my friends went to kayakoy last week to do the walk down to olu deniz.  They were charged 8TL each, just to access the start of the walk.   I waited for them at kayakoy and was expected to pay 8 TL just to be allowed to go to the cafe.  I have seen the ghost town many times when it was free/cheap and didn't really fancy paying 8 TL for a cup of cay!

So it is useful to know alternative routes into the place for next time.

Thanks
