advance passenger info
« on: February 26, 2010, 19:06:57 PM »
hi all
was considering booking a flight on monday 1 march,it says from 1 feb you must send passenger advance info with the airline you book with from 3 months and no later than 7 days, has anyone done a late booking since the regulations came in and did they have any problems,i can leave my bookings till the last minute so try and get a bargain but this might put a stop to this and the airline is still advertising for late bookings

Jimmy,
you can still give your info at the check-in desk, the website facility is there for those that have booked before the 7 days.

Ji mmy,
you can still give details at check in whenever you have booked. The website facility for entering your API is to save you having to do it at the Airport.

Cant be a Turkish or British thing as I have never had to give this sort of info and I do fly a lot. Just TC being a pain. BA or THY do not ask for this.

I know about the one for the US but as I said, I have never had to give this info apart from when I fly to the US which was registered last year anyway. Last 6 months I have flown to Italy, UK, Germany, US, Spain several times, not once was API requested.
