Aegean/Onur not a good partnership
« on: September 09, 2010, 11:42:16 AM »
My son was due to fly back to Bournemouth at 6.15 this morning from Dalaman, he rang yesterday to confirm his flight was ok, Aegean marmaris told him it was fine after mentioning Birmingham in the conversation? she said her computer was playing up so she rang back a few minutes later to confirm Bournemouth flight was ok.
This meant a 3.30am pick up, so we checked the flights again on the Dalaman website only to find it wasn't there(1.30am) so we did loads of ringing around, not Aegean they only work office hours, but Onur, dalaman airport but no one could confirm the flight was there? we rang Bournemouth airport they confirmed no flight was coming in, we rang Onur back only to be told you must go to the airport to find out:( They did, it was cancelled!! and now they have been put on a flight to Birmingham :o on Friday evening! 160 odd miles from home:(

We stil have no notification from Aeagean despite them having e mail and Phone No's  pretty crap service if you ask me:(

Our friends flew out last week from Bournemouth with Onur, but were told 2 days before they departed that their flight had changed coming back. Flying back 2 days earlier with Monarch into Gatwick. Not happy people.

I am a little hesitant now in booking anything from Bournemouth, even with Thomson's.

Thanks,

I had heard that Thomas Cook had plans to fly from Bournemouth.

I'll look at their flights.

This might be the catch though:

The legislation applies to all flights which have an EU airport as the departure point or those with an EU airport as the final destination if you've travelled on an EU airline.
