Being a complete dummy with maths, please can someone give me the formula for working out as follows. £10,000 to Lira, monthly income minus tax, then converting back to £s per month, if exchange rate is 2.40 & interest rate is 12%. Many thanks,:( hurts my head thinking about it.

If you put £10000 GBP in to lira account you will have 2,400Ytl

therefore after 1month

24,000Ytl x 12%=2,880Ytl less tax approx @18% =2,361.60 Ytl divide by 12months =198.80 Ytl this is your interest for the month approx £82.

hope this helps, use this forumla for diff exchange rates and % Garanti Bank on deposits upto 25,000USD is 15.5% over this amount is 16.5%

£10000 X2.40 YTL =24000 YTL @12% =2880 YTL -18%tax(514 YTL) =2366 YTLper year=197YTL per month @2.40YTL to the £ =£82 per month

All figures rounded up or down and not considerering interest will earn interest providing you dont spend it!
