I dont get the connection between gripes about building work (or not) and ordering a meal in a restaurant? If he alledgedly missed a couple of tiles off someones roof what in gods name has that got to do with how good the pide will be?

Some of you more clever members can surely think of a few puns connecting the building and restaurant trades-I am in thicko mood today

well each to their own indeed-all I am saying is I judge a restaurant on its food service etc.

When I go to a restauant in Turkey I only ask for a menu-not the accounts, owners life history, latest TAB magazine etc.

Lets be honest if you were to go, especially to high turnover touristy areas, anywhere in Turkey, and you decide to avoid every place that is rumoured to have dodgey history-you would starve!

Lifes too short-good food and service he survives, crappy stuff he sinks. Simples

Oh my God I feel physically sick but then again I knew I wasn't the first and I very much doubt I'll be the last.  When I first visited to Uzumlu in 2003 an english couple who lived there but then moved to India (some of you on here no doubt remember them)told me he was a lovable rogue with a silver tongue and that I should not believe a word he told me - but he has the "gift of the gab". Enjoy your meals!!!!!
