Increase in hand baggage allowance Thomas Cook

After completing API, received a new itinerary from Thomas Cook.  Hand baggage allowance has been increased from 5 kg to 6 kg - not a lot but every little helps.

Well that'll be 1K less I have to load into my parka pockets.  To be honest, I was hoping that they would increase the allowance to at least 8K which I think is realistic.  That said, when I came back from Calis in June, I added an additional 4K to my hold luggage, which cost £12.50 which I thought was very reasonable.

Per kilo it is, but you are only paying to up their measly 15kg to what every other airline that flies into DLM gives you as standard anyway.

TCook have a ridiculous limit on their hand luggage (as well as many other faults).

Thank you though Marggie for pointing out the increase. My family has many of their clothes here already so generally travel with hand luggage only and therefore have always pointedly avoided TCook because of their stingy limits.

Did our TC API this morning and printed off our documentation. 6kg hand luggage and 20kg hold luggage. The increase for hand luggage was unexpected but the 20kg hold luggage was on our original booking which we made last October. 20kg was the standard with an option to increase to up to 25kg?

I was also pleasantly surprised by the hand luggage increase but more so by the 20kg hold.  I'm sure when we booked it was only 15kg. not complaining though.

Think if you book  'flight only' there's no hold luggage included in the price but if you purchase hold luggage the minimum weight is 20 kg.  However, if you book a package you automatically get 15 kg hold allowance.
