Reliable courier?
« on: August 14, 2016, 06:07:37 AM »
Hi all,

Hope i'm posting in the right section.
Looking to send off for my son's first passport next week and, given the documentation inside and the general rubbishness of the postal service here, sending via courier is a must.  wondering if anyone has used a courier company here they would reccommend and where their office is?

I used Yurtici cargo earlier this year, to send documents back to the UK. Think it cost IRO 100tl, they told me it would take 4 working days & it did. The only difficulty was that very little English was spoken by the staff on the counters. Their office is on the Gunlukbasi road, just before the Renault garage if you're coming from Calis.

Hi Liz,

Thanks reccomendation, didnt realise they worked internationally.  Have had domestic parcels delivered by them before.  No problems about the language barrier as OH is Turkish so he can tell them what we need.

Thanks again.

Yurtici Kargo and Aras Kargo are both local agents for international courier companies like DHL, TNT, FedEx etc.
