Standby flights at Dalaman
« on: August 27, 2017, 08:04:25 AM »
Have any members ever just gone to Dalaman and waited to get a seat on a flight? Im wondering if Jack could just go to airport and wait until there is a spare seat on a flight to uk..having never done this myself I am not sure how it would work? I cant believe Thomas Cook have sold out all flights from Dal and Antalya until 7/8 th Seotember which is too late for start of college...Turkish airlines had one today £600+ one way totally scandulous...

TC probably haven't actually sold them yet but are waiting on the possibility of last-minute package bookings. It'll be no good to them if they've got rooms available and no seats on flights.

Do you really want him hanging about at DLM for, possibly, days on the off chance of getting a flight ?

You'll more than halve the price by going with scheduled airlines and being prepared for more than 1 change. Look for instance at DLM - IST - AMS (Amsterdam) - LHR/MAN or DLM - IST - FRA (Frankfurt) - LHR/MAN
