Freebird airlines from Bournemouth
« on: February 06, 2018, 07:24:57 AM »
Our Tui holiday to Calis this June from Bournemouth is using Freebird Airlines for the flights.  Has anybody travelled with them?  Flight times are a bit rubbish, but I wondered what the flight experience was like.

The freebird flight last year from Bournemouth was very good indeed in our opinion coming back very good times but going out to land in dalaman was not so good due to the time it went out.
aircraft was very clean crew were polite drink trolley once each way seats  pitch in line with most airlines in fact seemed bigger that the Thompson based aircraft on this route.

Note the flights starts from dalaman into uk  last year it was 15 min late coming back to uk due to late arrival from Amsterdam but  made up the time with ease

After seeing this I've been searching but can't find any Dalaman - Bournemouth flights on any sites.
Do you have any links?

Freebird are based in Istanbul. It's possible that the Bournemouth - Dalaman plane used for the flight mentioned by Colin T may just return to Istanbul. Hence no DLM - BOH flights showing.

Errr...  you can't actually buy a flight with Freebird, they are a charter airline in as such they charter their aircraft to other companies.  All the usual suspects TC, Thomson etc often charter aircraft to fly their routes during peak periods, a far cheaper alternative than increasing their fleet to cope with high demand over a short period.

It was last year a Thompson charter flight for package and flight only or so they stated.
How ever several flight only bucket shop  companies had seats on sale But only nearer the flight date  at slightly higher prices, to I assume fill up any seats.

you could not book seats together last year UNTILL at  Bournemouth check in

Free bird had probs every time they landed in Corfu.  Nothing but complaints.
