Esnaf hospital

Would just like to share our experience of this hospital and give thanks to the doctor/tourist dept/and all staff that gave us such good service.
On arrival we were met at the A&E with a wheelchair, whisked off to a reception desk and they contacted their tourist office who supplied an interpreter. Taken to a further desk where we supplied required info and paid 110tl(we do have residency) to see the  specialised relevant doctor. After examination my wife had a chest-x-ray paid 72tl all done within the hour, and  prescription given. One week later back to the Esnaf and further examination(no charge from docs)just 72tl for another x-ray, and medication given. One week later again no charge to see the doc' and pleased to say this particular condition cleared up. I requested copy of x-rays for which although I offered to pay, they provided free of charge and also a free cd of the x-rays.!
So if you are feeling apprehensive about using a hospital whilst on holiday/or even living there, please don't they really know how to treat their patients.

I had a similar experience at the Devlet State Hospital when I visited on the 6th May following a fall at home. Three discussions with a Neurological Consultant at a cost of 50tl, an X ray 17tl, CT scan 156tl, prescription for the fitting of a support corset to aid healing of two spinal fractures cost 120tl. All this and back home by lunchtime for less than £50. Excellent responsive and professional services. Review meeting in three weeks time to assess progress, following bed rest and meds for pain relief.  I'm another patient very satisfied with the services I received.

No detriment to the brilliant medical staff in the U.K., because the government are starving them of funds but the quality of service and speed of delivery in Turkey is excellent.
