My friend booked a holiday to Calis for May.  Sunshine holidays emailed her last week asking if she wanted to cancel the holiday.  They said there would be a £30 admin charge and a percentage reduction on the balance.  NO WAY !  I advised her to wait until Sunshine cancelled at which time, they will have to offer a refund. I also have a booking with Travel-republic but I haven’t heard anything. Travel-republic are using EasyJet whilst sunshine are using Freebird which is a Turkish airline.

I have a flight with easyjet for 15th April.  I have had an email asking if I want to change my booking but nothing about a refund.  I am going to wait until they inform me that the flight is cancelled.

I had a flight with easyJet for 30th March when I logged into my account last week, the option was there to change or refund flights. I went for the refund as I’ve got flights for May, as my son was/is getting married in Calis. Still haven’t got the money back yet.

Funny how organisations can take your money in the blink of an eye, yet it takes days, weeks and sometimes months to get refunds.

Flights are shown as full due to the entry restrictions at present to Turkey

Copied from the North Wales Daily Post:

How to get your money back

EasyJet says customers whose flights have been cancelled can get either a full refund, a voucher for the value of their original booking, or an alternative flight of the same price.

The airline says affected customers will be contacted to discuss their options.

If people wish to get in touch themselves, they can call 0330 365 5000, but are being warned to expect long delays.

They can also manage their bookings online.

EasyJet told the BBC: "Customers on cancelled flights can transfer to an alternative flight free of charge or receive a voucher for the value of their booking online or claim a refund through our contact centre.

"We are experiencing higher than average wait times so we would thank customers for their patience and assure them that these entitlements will be available long after their cancelled flight has flown."

Baffled by second paragraph - a cancelled flight that flew ????
