Fantastic news- but-and there is always a but- are there restrictions in place when you get to Turkey?
I assume you’ll get your temperature checked and be asked to provide your place of residence for the duration of your stay, but are the curfews still in place? If so, not really much point of travelling.

Hopefully as the FOH has said it is ok to go, the travel insurers will cover you for covid 19 claims.   Hope so.

Best check the T&Cs on your policies.

Oh, don't forget that the green light for travel only applies to those from England. Separate rules apply to the rest of the UK.

Is this travel information reciprocal as the UK government have not stated that it is? I’d love to come over to Turkey, and especially Calis, but have the Turkish Government applied to same rules i.e no self isolation on arrival? This really needs some clarification. It’s all very well creating”air bridges” allowing people to fly to various destinations from the UK, but they have not stated what happens on arrival in these countries- this should be clarified as a matter of urgency, as a lot of tourists could be in for one hell of a shock otherwise. Getting insurance in the UK to cover you for a pandemic is now also virtually impossible.

From what I've read, I think the Turkish government has lifted all but a couple of restrictions. There are still specific curfews on the over 65s and all visitors and residents must wear facemasks in public areas.

However, as in pre-Covid-19 days, it's your responsibility to check that your insurance is valid and that you adhere to the conditions placed on you wherever you travel.

All your holiday pics will be with a face mask😂
So is that Turkish covid insurance compulsory like the visa?
