Easyjet refunds
« on: July 15, 2020, 10:09:30 AM »
Well we thought we had it all sorted for our cancelled flight on 15/05. How wrong we were.

I completed the refund request back in May and on 04/07/20 we got an email stating the refund had been paid back into our account. I waited a few days for it to appear ....nothing.

Now going around in circles with their help line, twitter and FB and supplying the info they asked for - still no refund.

Checking on Twitter it seems we are not alone. Many have had the same email and have not received their refund.

I was going to re-book with them for next year but I'm not sure I will now after the way we have been ignored and lied to when they have actually replied. I even got one reply yesterday saying they refunded me in April - before the flight was even cancelled! I've replied explaining how that can't be true but have yet to get a reply. They are useless - or very well trained to fob you off.

Anyone else in the same boat? I've not instigated a charge back with my card provider.

Try checking with your card provider that you refund is not sitting in one of their internal General Ledger accounts.  :)

We got a very prompt response by emailing them on esupport@ easyjet. com.  It was put back on our credit card within days.

I’ve now received another email saying the refund is now processed and should be with me in 10 days!

I tried to do a flight change this morning. It went right through to the confirm button then computer said “no” .

Oh well worth a try.

Would have already booked for next year if I’d got my money back. They have released flights up to Sept 2021 today. No way are they getting my money that early when they are still cancelling flights for next month.

I got an email yesterday apologising for the delay and that the refund would be made within 10 days. It was refund to my card days ago   :)

Gave up waiting due to the lies & poor CS so submitted a Section 75 with my credit card company which is going through the motions now.
