Anyone know where this went. I was sue it was in "All things that havenothing to be with Turkey" Forum.

I locked it as echostar started another argument. I assume that maybe Scunner has deleted it.

No, I did (I think)......couldn't see any point in adding to the various exchanges on the same theme

My post was intended to highlight the pettiness of the squabbling and to give others the opportunity of expressing a similar sentiment.

I only saw MikeA's response so I do not know what the others were saying.

As you know I accept the moderators/administrator's verdict on most matters. I can understand the reasoning behind the decision taken here, but it surely cannot be right to delete a topic without advising the innocent person as to why that action was being taken.

It became one of around 9 topics all degrading into the same abyss, all started by, contributed to, or about mutlusandra and turkeylad. In the last 10 days, as far as I know, these two people contributed to the locking/deleting of 100% of locked/deleted topics and in fact, caused more topics to be locked in 7 days than in the previous 50 days.

If there was a way to delete topics and explain why, we would of course do it - but once the topic is deleted it is gone, and much to the relief of 99.99% of members and readers of the forum. To start a new topic explaining why a previous topic was deleted would generally only serve to provide a new topic that will become the same and be deleted too.

Many thanks for taking the time to reply. I, as I'm sure the majority of members do, totally understand your frustrations regarding these posts (no not this one :)).

I know that running the website must take up an enormous amount of time and effort but perhaps an email to the innocent member might be considered.

Thanks again and the matter is closed as far as I am concerned.
