2 business partners of mine are playing for the Turkish national team for the division 5 european championship.
You can follow up Turkeys first ever national match here http://www.icc-europe.org/EURODIV5/index.shtml

Wow, what an excellent thing :) I would never have thought it, a Turkish national Cricket team! Good luck to them.

There is only one or 2 Turks on the national team but they are always looking for interest from expats who have been here a long time (3 years plus). If there is enough interest in Fethiye, a team could be set up there and I believe the ICC are willing to show their support by providing kit etc.
Anyone interested just mail me and I will gide you to the right contacts. They have been trying to get a number of teams together in Turkey so they can play against each other.

A Turkish national cricket team! I love it! Bad start to be beaten by Estonia. But, Starman, could you report back on the 12th following the final game against local rivals Bulgaria?
What next? A Turkish rugby union team to add to the sides that can beat those boring rugby drudges - England?
-
There is already a Turkish national rugby team. I watched them play the Istanbul ottomans a few months back.
-
Turkey's had a national rugby union team for a couple of years now. The game is administered in Turkey by the Türkiye Rugby Federasyonu.
There's also a women's team, but it has yet to play in a recognised international match.

At the moment there is only one cricket team in Turkey and thats the Red lions in Ankara although they are getting a bit bored with playing with themselves. There must be some interest in Fethiye-Calis region amongst the expats there to start one up. You dont have to be a fit tee total under 30 yr old, just look at the photo of the team playing for Turkey, average age 36.

Turkey just bowled out the czechs for 149 all out. Now they are up for batting.
