Tiggsy just checking whether all this well deserved jollity around a Liverpool player is also acting to divert attention from your teams performance yesterday against the Spuds... I think we should be told??

If that happened in Liverpool city centre with a couple of witnesses and caught on CCTV he would definitely be going to jail.

I think you'd find he'd more than likely be going into Intensive Care.

2006  Jermaine Defoe bites Javier Mascherano.  Ref saw it, both got yellow cards..

Defoe - An FA spokesman said: "We are unable to take any action because the referee has already dealt with the incident.

"Fifa regulations prevent us from taking retrospective action."

As a different debate, why do FIFA think that the referee dealing with an incident should mean retrospective action is not possible? That's like a bobby on the beat giving Peter Sutcliffe a strict talking to for going with ladies of the night and making further prosecution for murder impossible.

Agreed Scunner but I guess it might set a precedent they might not be able to deal with.
