Caretta Apart

If any one is looking for somewhere to stay in Calis may I take this moment to recomend The Caretta Apartments. We returned from there last Monday and all of us completely loved it. All of the staff there are absolute stars. From Dr John who cannot do enough for you, Memeht behind the bar who kept the kids entertained and the adults in fits of laughter:D.Duram the driver is the strong silent type until the turkish night kicks off and then look out for the barstaff doing Tom Jones' Sexbomb on the bar. The rooms are as people have stated in the past basic but what more do you want apart from clean rooms to put your head down in after a day out and somewhere to freshen up as you go out for the evening[:o)].
John helped my wife after she had some quite nasty mozzie bites which then became infected. He took us to the new hospital and had us seen in less than 5 mins and the to Letoon Hospital to a specialist. We were back in the apartment in less than an hour (wish we could get that sort of treatment on the NHS!!!) He went as far as to pay with his own credit card as we could not get a connection when we tried to pay with mine. Ellie my wife also ran out of an inhaler, which we then tried to buy in Fethiye at nearly £50. John offered to get it for us for a lot less if she needed it but we managed to struggle through. Dr John will organise trips for you and cater them as well.
John also told me that Scunner had popped in while we were out and I said I would have liked to meet him and he offered to call him there and then which I declined until another day which never came round. I saw Scunner talking to some other people on Saturday night at the Nil bar when a wedding party came in who I recognised from the forum but could not remember his name, did not want to be rude and interupt the happy day. I will catch Scunner next time as I intend to be back next year at the same time. If anybody would like more information on the Caretta please do not hesitate to email me through the forum.

It was me, I was no closer than on the perimeter of Nil  ;)

Agree with everything you say Alun, Caretta is a superb place, you won't find friendlier or more helpful - Can is a wonderful man who will help in any way, well beyond the duty of a hotelier. Hopefully we will meet up next time you are over, you don't have to be shy  :)

Just back from 2 weeks at the Caretta Apartments and the best holiday in Calis ever.
As Aluns1 said, John the owner, his family and staff are the nicest most obliging people you could ever hope to meet.
Great accomodation and surroundings and convenient for Calis centre, beach and on a dolmus route.
Booked for September.

I would just like to echo what everyone has said about Caretta Apartments ... We have been going for the past 6 years and Can, Mary, Duran and Mehmet can not do enough to ensure that your holiday is as enjoyable as possible.  We now think of Can and the rest as part of our extended family and we regularly keep in touch via e-mail and telephone.  Cant wait for Oct 9th, already counting the days.

The Carretta is next door to our place and as everyone has said, Can (Dr John)is a lovely guy. Obviously we don't stay there but do go round and have a few beers most days when we are over. He looks after us like he does his own clientele, taking us places and often telling me off for having put on weight and how much I drink :-\
Mehmet is always up for a laugh and Can's son Cem is great fun. So much so at a recent Turkish night we decided to kidnap his Budgie as revenge for him buying me and my brother a beautiful cake with the words "**** Brothers" on it.:DDon't worry the budgie was fine for his ordeal.
Could not recommend the place high enough

Pete
