Yes its that time of year again!!! The good folks from the 3Cs charity are again holding their annual Promises Auction - which is now in its 10th year!!!!!!! (where does the time go)
As the auction is now such a huge and important fundraising event for the charity, they have once more decided to split it over two nights and hold two smaller auctions a week apart. They hope that this will enable more people to attend and that it will not be such a late finish. Both auctions will contain a wide variety of Promises and the auction catalogues will make it very clear which lots are being auctioned on each night.
This years auction will take place on Wednesday 31 May (already taken place) AND Wednesday 7 June at it's usual location on Calis promenade outside the Bambu Restaurant, Laika Bar (formerly Azure Properties) and the Nil Bar.
The charity have some great promises pledged for this very popular and important fundraising event which is the premier fundraising event of the 3C's year and all proceeds from the auction go directly to help the children in the local area.
Thanks to the generosity of the "pledgers" and bidders and the expertise of the volunteer auctioneers, last years auction raised 13,500TL and it would be absolutely amazing if they could equal or better this total in 2017.
A list of the "promises" pledged so far follows and this is being added to on a regular basis as new "promises" come in.

BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS
Here are the details for bidding, both for those who are able to attend the auction and for those who are bidding by e-mail.
Auction Part 1 has now taken place and all remaining and new promises will appear in Auction Part 2 which takes place on Wednesday June 7. A catalogue will be produced showing what is being auctioned at this auction and a copy of this list will also be published on CBF, prior to the auction.
Bidding is now open for email Commission bids on items listed in Auction part 2.
The auction is great fun, a great way to grab a bargain and a great way to help make real changes to the lives of local children here in the Fethiye district.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDING ON THE NIGHT
Those attending on the night wanting to make bids will be asked to complete a form on arrival at the restaurants giving your name address and contact details. You will then be provided with a "Bidding Number" card and an auction catalogue (cost 2TL) as in UK auctions.
You will also be able to pre-register during the viewing period 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm at the Bambu Restaurant on the day of each auction. You will not be able to bid unless you have a bidding card. This makes it easier both for the auctioneer and for administering the winning bids.
Money will be collected on the night where possible, "Promises" issued and official receipts given. For those unable to pay on the night, payment will be required within 7 days of the close of auction or the item will be withdrawn. In these cases the "Promise" will not be issued until the payment is received. We regret that we cannot accept payment by credit card.
COMMISSION BIDS BY E-MAIL - This facility is now open!!!!!!!!
For those bidding by e-mail, please e-mail either myself or Liz101 with your commission bid through our profiles on this forum. Please advise us what you are bidding on, your minimum bid and how much you are prepared to bid up to and our auctioneer will bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid - just like a real auction or on e-bay.
Internet bids for items featuring in the second auction will be accepted up to 12 midnight Turkish time (10.00 pm English time) on the night of Tuesday 6 June when this facility will close.
All e-mail bids received will be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt. If you are a winning bidder we will e-mail you the day following the auction and advise how much the item has cost you. It will not necessarily be your maximum bid. We will then advise you how to make your payment (there are different methods depending on whether you are in UK or Turkey). Payment will be required within 7 days of the auction or your bid will be void.
Details of how to claim your promise will be sent once the funds have cleared through our account. Alternatively your winning lot will be held at the 3C’s shop until you are out on holiday - it is your choice.
As we will be continuing to add to the list right up to the auction, please revisit the list and make additional bids if you see anything else that you would like.
