We filled the pool off the mains with a hose. Hadn't got the money to pay for tankers, with card kept at atm. Poolman was there so we needed to get on with it. Fair few shook their heads and said 'you will regret that when you get the bill'. Pleasantly surprised when the water bill came today 180tl. That works out cheaper than the 6 tankers it takes to fill it,and it's a darn site warmer too,you could swim in the pool now.. Tanker water is like ice. Bearing in mind that price includes, baths, showers, cooking, cleaning use along with the watering the garden every night and the New fruit trees need lots of water.
So don't think the tanker route is necessarily the cheapest, it's just the quickest

Well done Bernie, And you remembered to put the plug in. ;)

;D ;D

Also, ask your landlord to put in a well, then it will cost you nothing to fill the pool and water the garden.
-
Always used the well for ours, free water but very cold.

Not sure how practical digging a well would be in Ovacik, which is where Bernie lives ???
-
They use boreholes not wells. The further up the hill you go in Ovacik, the deeper they have to drill. So the cost can be prohibitive.

A hotel in Hisaronu were replacing the pump in their borehole and I watched/ helped them. I think from memory the borehole
was 300 feet deep and the pump, which was suspended on the end of 2" diameter pipes was a stainless cylinder approx 9" diam'
x 5 foot long. It was very expensive initially but they said it had paid for itself many many times over, and it's there for the duration.

Went to pay the water bill, was today we get cheaper price than fethiye per ton. So before you connect your hose..Yours is twice the price if you don't live our end..Sorry.
