hello pmw
we are just having this service done now
you have to go to belediye offices ask for feski services(around the side offices)
get folder take you tapu and any other paperwork
then you go to feski office which is by the side of the big bus station
ask in the office for plan, charges etc
it goes on the size of your land and house, ours was over 1 milliar( for 3 bed villa)
but cheaper if you pay by cash
they put in the drains outside your house make a mess of your road
then you need to pay for the pipes from your house to the wall of your property and then from this to the mains, this is extra money. you will need a turkish person to help you with everything.
hope this helps,doll

We are still not absolutely sure whether we are on 'mains' or have a cesspit/septic tank. There appears to be no sign anywhere for a pumping point so, hopefully we are on main sewers. The only indication we have is that right in the middle of the sokak opposite our house is a raised manhole cover which, hopefully, indicates the presence of a main sewer.
