I feel that men should wear a shirt when away from the beach, especially in eating places but there are also many Turkish men who do notwear tops so it is not just a 'tourist lack of respect'. A few days ago i was on a dolmus and one of the passengers who was obviously British had his t shirt draped round his shoulders as if that satisfied his sense of decorum. Even though I have such a lovely body I always keep it covered.  ;)

It doesn't bother me if they wear next to nothing around Calis, it's a holiday resort and it's hot, you see Turks going to work with jackets on, and we say how can they wear that on a day like this, so they take their jackets off, some will call them for the sweat under their armpits, so they take their shirts off and get called for not wearing enough, strange world, i wear a top to go to Fethiye, and i'll wear a top to go to a restaurant, i always go out with a top on anyway, but if it gets too hot i take it off, whatever we all do wont please everyone. Alan
