Mobile broadband/Internet connection

Hi,
Has anyone got any info on mobile broadband in Turkey ( well Calis area)? Would I need to use a UK provider or would there be a local one less expensive? Want to bring my laptop when I come over and beable to connect to the internet.
Sorry if this is in the wrong section but couldnt find anything related.
Also where would there be a free wireless connection in the area?

Plenty free ones at the bars just buy a drink & ask for password also some bars have free use of laptops.
